The ending of a game, as called out in Rule 4.10, is very important for regular season games. This requires Managers, coaches, and umpires to properly understand when a game is called (weather, darkness, etc.) If not followed, players eligibility for post-season is put in jeopardy. Please review the Rule 4.10 link below prior to ending games if in question.
Little League District 10 will assist local leagues to have as many players as possible playing in local leagues. Where leagues do not have enough teams, or players, for a division of play, District 10 will have all presidents come together for form a common league, or "Interlock" league.
The Interlock league at that division of play is voted upon and governed by rules published to the District 10 website.
There are several District 10 leagues participating in Interlock this year at the Teen divisions (Junior & Senior). It is imperative that managers understand the pitching rules for approved 15-year-olds (Junior) & 17 year-olds (Senior).
The rulebook, in this regulation, outlines the rules and in the Interlock scenario the local league board is the District 10 board and it has been declared that no these ages are allowed to play but may not pitch.
Regulation IV - The Players
Junior League: Any player with amateur status who will attain the age of 12 years before September 1, 2025, and who will not attain the age of 15 years on or before August, 31, 2025, shall be eligible to compete. This means that a player who will be 15 years old on September 1 or later is eligible to play that year; a player who will be 15 years old on August 31 or earlier will not be eligible for either local league or tournament play in the Junior League at any time during the calendar year in question.
NOTE: The local league may allow 15-year-olds to participate in the Junior League Division for the regular season only if player's skill level is assessed as appropriate for that division. A local league Board may prohibit 15-year-olds from pitching within the Junior Division.
This is the same language used in the rule book and can be found in the free Little League rule book available on App Store and Google Play stores.
During regular season, or tournament, play a protest situation may occur. A protest is outlined and defined in Rule 4.19 and should be followed by all leagues in District 10. All league administrators, managers, coaches, and umpires should review and understand the Little League protest process.
